Chief Billy Goldfeder appears to have the scoop on this one. Charleston, SC Chief Tom Carr has reached into his old department for a new deputy chief of operations. John Tippett, a battalion chief with Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service in Maryland, has 32-years in the fire service and is familiar to many from his work on the National Fire Fighter Near-Miss Reporting System.
