The video above shows a man being rescued from the scaffolding enveloping a 28-story building in Shanghai that was engulfed in flames through much of today.

A tower ladder crew stretched a ground ladder from the basket to allow the man to carefully slide his way across to safety. He is one of the lucky ones. More than forty people are dead and more than 100 others injured.

Reports indicate building materials used in renovations caught fire and then spread to the scaffolding and through all parts of the occupied building.
