New: Raw video of controversial fatal Weston, Missouri fire. See for yourself if the citizens have a case.

Previous coverage of this story

We had been looking for it since yesterday and one of our readers, Barry Greer at PipeNozzle.com, found the 14 minute video that has fueled controversy in Weston, Missouri. On July 4, George Treese, the owner of Old Geezer's Mantiques was found dead in this fire. Citizens appeared before the Weston City Council last night claiming it took too long for the fire department to get water on the fire. West Platte Fire District Chief Lynn Johnson responded in part to the allegations in a comment to KMBC-TV:

The fire chief of the West Platte Fire Protection District now has a copy of the video. She told (reporter Dan) Weinbaum that there was a delay in getting water at the fire scene, but it did not hinder the firefight.
