This is from a fire that damaged four buildings early Sunday morning the Fashion District of Los Angeles. It is from firelensman at YouTube.

KABC-TV:

About 150 firefighters responded to the blaze at the two-story building near Olympic Avenue and Maple Street.  It took crews about an hour and 40 minutes to put out the blaze.

One firefighter suffered a cut on his arm. He was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, where he was treated and released. No other injuries were reported.

Los Angeles Times:

Fire crews responded to the fire near Maple Avenue and Olympic Boulevard at about 2 a.m., said Brian Humphrey, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.

While battling the fire within the building, the roof began to give way, forcing firefighters outside, he said. The blaze was put out about an hour and 40 minutes later.

Damn security doors, they are a bitch. Better bring up the Blitz Line guys, it looks like you are going to need it.

I think they found the fire. Is it too much to ask to have a CHARGED hoseline and backup line in place?

Lets just keep the pass Alarms sounding like its no big deal… Why even have them if we arent going to investigate them sounding off?? Just saying

No wonder it took 1:45 to extinguish. That 1.75 isn’t going to do much against a warehouse stuffed full of clothing.

How many guys does it take to not spray water on a fire? I especially liked the dance the firefighter did with the white 13/4″, stretch the line and do the hokie pokie. Pull a 21/2″ and be done with it, it’s a straight advance and there are plenty of people to help, well they were there but they appeared able to help.

    Go easy, EastCoast Mouseketeers,

    Cut these folks some slack.

They are, after all, not the “BEST” in the world…
like, say … FDNY (the BIG Mickey-M)

Really guys, they did what they were supposed to do……after about five minutes of standing there looking at it and getting chased back out. why did they need a 2 or 2.5 when it clearly shows they did it with 2 1.75, they just had bad nozzle skills
