East Pembroke Fire Department
A car crashed into the front of the East Pembroke Fire Hall late Thursday afternoon, resulting in fire officials scrambling to remove fire department vehicles from the damaged building.
According to an eyewitness account, the driver of the vehicle may have suffered a diabetic reaction prior to the crash.

The accident happened shortly before 4 p.m. Troopers say the car was headed east on Route 5 when it crossed over into the westbound lane, slammed into a berm and became airborne before striking the firehouse.
The female driver apparently blacked out behind the wheel due to a medical condition. She was taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.
