Video from munhallfire of an apartment fire in Muhall, Pennsylvania (Allegheny County) yesterday morning.

WPXI-TV:

Neighbors were forced to evacuate nearby apartments as flames destroyed a Munhall apartment Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported just before 8 a.m. in a first-floor apartment on a Maple Street building.

Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to upstairs apartments.

Michael DiVittorio, TribLive.com:

“We had a real quick response from everybody,” Munhall Bureau of Fire Deputy Chief Ed Pletsch said.

He said nine adults and six children were inside the home at the time of the fire.

Pletsch said there were multiple points of origin, and that the first floor became engulfed.

“Flames were pretty much everywhere,” he said.

Firefighters had the blaze under control in an hour. A neighboring two-story structure at 1906 Maple St. sustained smoke damage.
