Video from firelensman of a fire yesterday at 6701 South 11th Avenue in the Hyde Park District of Los Angeles. According to the description with the video, a large rubbish fire spread to a commercial building. As you will see in the video and image below, a power line fell onto the fence surrounding the property and began arcing. A firefighter cut the line to separate it from the fence. Based only on the large number of fire videos that have passed through STATter911.com over the last six years, LAFD may be the only department we’ve seen that regularly has its firefighters dealing with downed and/or arcing lines.
