Video by Rustic906 of a duplex fire Saturday evening on Coral Drive in Oceanside, California.

Pauline Repard, UTSanDiego.com:

The two-alarm blaze broke out about 7:20 p.m. at the one of the two adjoining homes on Coral Drive near Buena Hills Drive, an Oceanside Fire Department official said. One person who called 911 reported hearing a loud bang, then seeing flames erupt behind the duplex.

Three people escaped the duplex without injuries.

One side of the duplex was fully involved in flames when firefighters got there. They were able to keep the flames from spreading past the two garages in the middle before the fire could heavily damage the second home, police said.

I love citizens that believe that the fire is supposed to “get scared and go out” when the fire department arrives
