Video and radio traffic from homer218 of a two-car garage fire on Saturday in Rochelle Park, New Jersey that was ignited after nearby utility poles fell.

Chris Harris & Mary Diduch, NorthJersey.com:

A utility pole that toppled onto a garage on Rochelle Avenue, sparking an early morning fire and pulling down two other poles with it, may have fallen because it was damaged beneath the ground, according to a PSE&G spokeswoman.

After the first pole fell onto the garage, a second pole was dragged to the ground. Then, a third pole was pulled halfway over Rochelle Avenue, leaving wires hanging down, Diamond said. Firefighters from Rochelle Park and Saddle Brook got the fire under control within an hour, and there were no injuries.
