Video from Ken Bruno of a house fire in Providence, Rhode Island yesterday.

WJAR-TV:

A three-story home on Exeter Street in Providence sustained heavy damage in a fast-moving fire Saturday evening.

Fire crews rushed to the scene around 5:30 p.m., and found flames shooting through the roof of the home.

Neighbors tell NBC10 the home had recently been renovated.

    Good call on going defensive with ff on third floor still punching out screens after horn signal.Attic was really cookin’and it would’ve been great to see a ladder flowing a narrow fog stream through it and smother it with steam in such a confined space.

    I saw some FF movement on the 2nd floor, I guess could not get it. If your going to go defensive… at least put the ladder pipe in the attic window….Under the roof… THE ROOF IS IN TAC AND WILL NOT LET THE WATER HIT THE FIRE. Strike Da Box! K

    That’s the longest evac tone I’ve ever heard! Wonder if anyone left in town didn’t hear it?

    Would liked to have seen more video to see how they handled it.

    The house was a balloon frame construction. The fire started on the first and shot right up to the attic. there was partial collapse of the roof on side 3. ladder pipes darkened it down then an interior attack for the mop up.
