As is sit and watch this video I am screaming at my computer…."Let's GO" but in my mind I can hear command give a defensive order….  I cannot see the big picture so I follow the order no matter how bad I feel the we have at a great chance of making a good stop.  I know these guys are feeling the same thing but as professionals the stand fast and go defensive… sucks but we have to follow orders.. command knows something we don't at this point.

Volunteer for life is what you will always be with these comments.

Big water takes time to establish a water supply.  The 1 3/4" lines were pulled and they were employed initially on the exposures.  This could have been accomplished by using tank water while a supply line was established.  The pipes were both going very soon afterward.  The 1 3/4" is more maneuverable and can put sufficient water on the exposures to protect them.  This operation was textbook.  This well established fire (fire on all floors and through the roof) was under control in about 10 to 15 minutes of arrival and I suspect no one was injured.

I suspect you're a 2/20.  If not you're never gonna amount to much in this business, if you think that the proper strategy was to go offensive in this incident.  You would have unnecessarily placed your people inside a structure that did fail very quickly after arrival.

Defensive operations and wagon pipes are the only way to control this fire, good job.

    Lightweight construction, heavy fire involvement

Master streams in operation a lot quicker than we have seen in some previous videos

Sprinkleman hit a plug on the way in get the pipe and lines going. That's my take. But everyone on here has different views. I know what works well for us.
