We've been running JC Kriesher's video on for a while now. JC often runs helmet-cam video from in and around Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania on his YouTube channel and the website JC and his fellow member of the Sheppton-Oneida VFC, Bill Moyer, were featured on the local TV station yesterday under the headline "Helmet Cameras Help Firefighters". Watch the video above. Below is the latest helmet-cam video from Moyer that JC sent our way. It's the January 7 two-alarm house fire in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania.

Once the camera goes inside the building, I don't get much from them.  The smoke/steam obscure things so badly that I have trouble discerning what's going on. Sometimes the sound recordings are OK, but more often than not the voices are so garbled by SCBA masks and extraneous sounds that I can't understand what's being said.  They are pretty good for outside activities unless the user gets to looking around so much that it makes me seasick.  JMHO
