Below is video from a drone flying over the scene of the deadly explosion in East Harlem Wednesday (pre-arrival video & details here). There is also video showing the drone in action and news coverage as well. Operator Brian Wilson was eventually asked by police to land his eye in the sky and he complied.

Pedro Rivera, a part-time videographer for a TV station in Hartford, Connecticut didn’t have as pleasant an interaction with police. He was off-duty last month when he was using his personal drone over a fatal car accident. Details in the video below and in a story here about Rivera’s lawsuit.
