Early video and radio traffic from BoxAlarmDetroit of a fire in a Family Dollar store at 14027 Joseph Campau Avenue in Detroit yesterday (Saturday) afternoon. According to the radio traffic, hazardous materials inside the store was one of the factors in an early withdrawal and the battalion chief’s decision to let the fire come to them. There were also early warnings of a collapse as the fire took hold of the building.
