Just before 17:00, Bethlehem City Fire Dispatch transmitted the box for 405 East Broad Street on a house fire. Ladder 2 reports heavy smoke showing from a few blocks away while responding.
Engine 6 arrives to fire venting out the second floor front window and stretches in with two hand lines. A water supply was established for Engine 6 from a hydrant at Maple and Broad.
The bulk of the fire was darkened down within 15 minutes. A cat was retrieved by firefighters from the adjoining house uninjured.
