Raw video: Evac ordered during natural gas fed duplex fire in Houston
Raw video from alex rizzotti of a duplex fire in Houston, Texas yesterday (Monday). Air horns sound and firefighters can be seen leaving one side of the duplex at 1:19 in the video. News reports and comments from neighbors indicate the fire was being fed by a broken natural gas line.
Neighbors alerted residents of the town house when flames began spreading in the 6900 block of Log Hollow Drive around 1 p.m.
They also grabbed hoses and tried to put out the fire while waiting for fire crews to arrive. About 50 firefighters battled the stubborn blaze.
CenterPoint crews were on scene to stop the gas leak. Three hours after the fire started, crews were still putting out hot spots.
