Unless you put this video to full screen and HD you may have trouble seeing exactly what’s going on. Posted Friday by thelakewoodscoop (website here), the video is from the scene of a pedestrian struck around 6:50 p.m. August 9 along Ocean Avenue (Route 88) in Lakewood, New Jersey.
According to news reports, 41-year-old Chandra Martin died after being hit by an SUV that Juan Gregorio-Chacon was driving. You will see EMS working on Chandra Martin on the front lawn of a home. You will also see a man on the ground by the side of the road, apparently unconscious. That’s Juan Gregorio-Chacon.
If you watch closely at :28, the video captures the blow that fells Gregorio-Chacon. After the accident a number of Chandra Martin’s relatives went after Gregorio-Chacon. Neighbors attempted to keep peace. According to the Lakewood Scoop, 33-year-old Anthony Campbell has been charged with assault.
Juan Gregorio-Chacon was admitted to the hospital with a head injury and released a few days later. Police say Gregorio-Chacon was driving on a suspended permit.
While no news reports mention it, there may have been a possible third patient. On the video you can see a woman who apparently faints along the side of the road.
