Three families were displaced Thursday after a fire in Sunbury. Flames were seen shooting from the side of a home at 528 Line Street near Kreamer Avenue around 10:45a.m.
Multiple volunteer fire departments responded to a two-alarm blaze and Russ Wertz, First Assistant Fire Chief says crews were able to knock it down quickly. He says, “The fire started on the second floor and most of the damage is to the attic and one bedroom. There is also smoke and water damage throughout the house. The families will be homeless for awhile, but the Red Cross is assisting them.” There were no injuries reported in the fire and one cat was saved from the home.
