It was just after 12 a.m. when firefighters were called to the area of the 200 block of East Lloyd Street and found fire inside two unoccupied buildings.
About a half hour later while crews were still fighting the fire another call came for a working structure around North Ferguson and West Coal streets, just a few blocks away.
Arriving at that scene smoke was pouring from the back of the structures but crews were able to contain the fire to three buildings.
As weary firefighters were still at the scene of those fires, crews were called to the area of the 300 block of East Centre St. for a third fire.
