An interesting video from Ramin Zarnegar that not only shows the arrival and initial attack by San Jose, California firefighters at what became a two-alarm fire Friday night, it captures a little pre-arrival drama. At 1:15 into the video you hear a man screaming about his dog still being inside. The man then can be seen at 1:30 opening the garage door to the attached exposure and entering the home. He runs out about 15 seconds later with the dog in his arms.

Heather Somerville, San Jose Mercury-News:

Firefighters responded to a blaze at a multiunit residence on Delbarr Court, near Malone and Almaden roads, just after 10 p.m., said fire Capt. Michael Van Elgort. It took firefighters more than two hours to get the blaze under control.

The fire was still under investigation Saturday, but Van Elgort said it appeared to have started in the garage and was likely caused by a gas leak from the car parked there. “Since multiple stories burned quickly, we assume it was some issue with the fuel,” he said.
