UPDATE: Caught on video – ladder truck catches fire in MD

A fire truck responding to a fire in downtown Silver Spring Monday afternoon caught on fire, Montgomery County Fire said.

The fire truck was responding to a one-alarm fire in the 8200 block of Georgia Avenue, authorities said. No injuries have been reported, Montgomery County Fire said.

A Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service truck was on its way to a building fire in the 8200 block of Georgia Avenue at Thayer Avenue when it caught fire late Monday afternoon.
Authorities said the fire broke out in the cab section of the truck near Piney Branch Road and University Boulevard.
No injuries were reported and no further details were immediately available.
