3900 Block of DeTonty. Heavy fire in the basement of an occupied 2-Story, 4-Family Flat. Fire extended to both floors. Bad plugs caused water supply issues early on. 1 FF Injury to the hand. Recorded with FireCam 1080.

The fire appears to have started in the basement and spread through the two-story building, Mosby said.
A nearby fire hydrant was damaged, so firefighters were delayed as they connected to a hydrant on the other side of Interstate 44, which runs parallel to De Tonty to the north.
The firefighter was injured after the fire was put out, Mosby said. His hand got tangled as a 35-foot ladder was being retracted. He was taken to St. Louis University Hospital.
