Video and radio traffic from Steve Redick (SRResquire) at an apartment fire that left a boy dead and 11 injured today (Sunday) in Chicago.
The blaze began in the 5700 block of North Kimball about 4 a.m. and moved throughout the courtyard building, according to Fire Media Affairs.
The blaze was extinguished by 4:45 a.m., though firefighters remained at the scene Sunday morning searching the building and chasing hot spots, according to Fire Media.
A 10-year-old boy was discovered dead inside the building, according to Fire Media. The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the fatality, but did not release additional details.
