Benjamin Paulin, The Enterprise:

Bridgewater police Officer Kelly Chuilli answered a 911 call Wednesday morning that a car had crashed into a tree on Aldrich Road.

When she was told the license plate number of the black Chevy Impala, her heart sank, and she immediately called her husband, Bridgewater Firefighter Paul Chuilli Sr.

The car belonged to their son, 18-year-old Paul Chuilli Jr.

“Just going down the street, seeing his car wrapped around that tree, knowing it was him, I just had to try to do everything in my power and it just wasn’t enough,” Paul Chuilli Sr. told The Enterprise during an interview with the family at their Bridgewater home on Thursday.
