Thanks to regular contributor Pascal Marchand (The 4K Guy – Fire / Police / EMS) for putting a smile on my face with this moment involving an ambulance crew last (Tuesday) night in Longueuil, Quebec. This one is universal and not lost in translation. Here’s Pascal’s description:
Last night in Longueuil an ambulance driver going code 3 with lights and sirens followed by a chief medic lost his cool at the corner of Boul Ste-Foy and Chemin Chambly. While the vehicles were approaching the intersection, two pedestrians decided to cross the street anyway, causing the ambulance to slow down before reaching the intersection. The driver then used the ambulance PA system to give the two careless people a warning (in French: ”tassez vous gang de sans-génie” meaning ”get out of the way you moron”) before continuing to their medical emergency call.
