Paramedic’s selfies with patients posted to Instagram

Clearly we don’t have a monopoly on Social Media Assisted Career Suicide Syndrome (SMACSS) in the United States. The lure of sharing images and status updates that can get you canned is universal. Yesterday (Monday) we told you about a firefighter recruit in Rochester, New York who lost his job over an off-duty video with an anti-Semitic puppet. Today it’s a paramedic from Russia who is out of a job with some on-duty pictures.

A paramedic has been sacked after a series of offensive selfies with her and dying patients emerged online.

Tatiana Kulikova, 25, posted one image and captioned it ‘another moron’ as someone lay dying next to her – who she should have been helping.

She was instantly sacked from her job in Russia after officials saw the photos on her Instagram account.

Daily Mail:

In one image, captioned ‘another moron,’ the blonde is flipping the bird at a badly injured accident victim.

In another she sticks two fingers up to a heart attack patient and titled the image, ‘How I hate my job.’

Now emergency service officials in Kirov have sacked the health worker after she admitted taking the pictures.
