Helmet-cam video from Michigan house fire

The latest video from Tyger Fullerton in Charlotte, Michigan showing a house fire last Sunday (March 15). The last fire we showed you from the Charlotte FD was a restaurant fire that sparked an interesting discussion about the initial attack being handled by one firefighter in vehicle with 200 gallons of water. It appears something similar was in place here.

Here’s the description with the video:

Charlotte Fire Department was dispatched for a house fire in the afternoon hours of Sunday March 15th. When Units were leaving the station they could see a column of back smoke in the area. Charlotte Fire Dept. had 2 truck at the scene within 5 minutes of 911 receiving the first call. Unit 312 and 316 found heavy fire coming from 2 sides of the structure, 2 lines were pulled, an attack was started from the out side then crews entered to extinguish the reaming fire. Occupants made it out safely and no firefighter injures. One firefighter had an SCBA malfunction after getting off the truck. Fire was caused by unattended heating of cooking oil on the stove.
