Fire captain charged with beating up firefighter/girlfriend at firehouse

News reports indicate firefighters at Station 20 of the Kansas City (KS) Fire Department stepped in to help a firefighter who was being assaulted by her boyfriend last Sunday evening. The boyfriend is 52-year-old Anthony Motts, a captain who left another firehouse in a department vehicle to confront the girlfriend after a fight on the phone. Motts has been arrested and has been suspended by the department.
