Caught on video: Dog rescued from Totowa, NJ house fire

Extensive raw video and radio traffic from tornadochaser66 of a house fire Sunday in Totowa, New Jersey. At 6:30 you will see firefighters bringing a dog down a ladder from the second floor. A second dog died in the fire.

Firefighters battled a blaze at a multifamily house here Sunday afternoon, rescuing a yellow Labrador retriever from the second floor of the home. But another pet, a 6-month-old shih tzu named Luke, perished in the fire, devastating its owners.

The fire appeared to be under control at about 3:30 p.m., but then flames flared up through the roof again, and firefighters were ordered off the structure. The fire was still smoldering at 4:45 p.m. At one point flames shot out of an upper-floor window of the house.
