Capt. Jason Farley, Claremore Fire Department dies during Oklahoma water rescue
The Claremore Fire Department has identified the firefighter who died while rescuing residents from a duplex.

The department says Jason Farley, a nearly 20-year veteran of the fire department, drowned when he stepped into a storm drain.
Claremore Fire Chief Sean Douglas said Captain Farley was attempting to rescue residents on Archer Court and Highway 20 on the west side of town.
A Claremore firefighter died during a high-water rescue Saturday night as a complex weather system pushing through the state caused widespread flash flooding.
Farley was one of two firefighters swept into a drainage ditch. His body was recovered about 1 a.m. Sunday and the incident is still under investigation, Douglas said.
Farley had been with the department for 19 years and is the first Claremore firefighter to die in the line of duty since the mid-’80s, the chief said.
