According to the real police, Shaulis was the one who was drunk. Shaulis, a member of Sipesville VFC, is accused of using flashing blue lights, road flares, handcuffs, a bb gun pistol and a portable scanner as he stopped at least one vehicle, telling its driver he was Pennsylvania State Trooper Steve Rogers. The Daily American:

A 19-year-old Somerset man accused of impersonating a state police trooper while stopping a vehicle Saturday on Route 601 in Lincoln Township has been suspended from his position as a firefighter for the Sipesville Volunteer Fire Co.

Logan Douglas Shaulis, Nicole Lane, was arrested near Conn Road where a silver Chevrolet Cobalt was parked diagonally across the southbound lane of Route 601.

WPXI-TV:

Police said Shaulis drove around in a silver car with flashing blue lights and allegedly set up a road block with flares on Route 601 in Lincoln Township Friday.

Shortly after 4 a.m. police received a call from a motorist who said he had been pulled over by Shaulis, who identified himself as a trooper with the drug and alcohol division, according to authorities. The motorist said that when he was asked to show his license and registration, he could smell alcohol on Shaulis.

Before police arrived, Shaulis allegedly handed a passenger in the vehicle a BB gun and said, “You can’t get caught with this.”

KDKA-TV:

A motorist who stopped says Shaulis claimed he was a trooper and demanded to see a driver’s license, registration and insurance papers.

When real troopers arrived, police say Shaulis tried to hand a BB pistol to the car’s passenger and said, “I can’t get caught with this.”

He faces charges including drunken driving, impersonating a public servant and unlawful restraint. He remained jailed Tuesday.
