Video above from Yonkers Voice of a three-alarm fire yesterday (Monday) on Landscape Place in Yonkers, New York. There were access problems for firefighters and police handled a confrontation with a neighbor.
(Assistant Chief Edward) Cucolo said the house’s location, along a narrow street with two houses in front of it, made fighting the fire difficult. He said firefighters attempted to attack the fire from the interior, but significant damage had already been done to the roof.
“This street was always going to present problems. It’s not on the main road. We can’t get big equipment up there with the trucks,” Cucolo said.
