Historic Harpers Ferry, West Virginia was the scene of a three-alarm fire early today (Thursday). The town bordering Maryland and Virginia was battled by firefighters from at least five counties in the three states.

Below is pre-arrival video from resident Ron Clark along with some later video he shot and posted on Facebook. At the bottom of the page, after the WJLA-TV/ABC 7 news coverage, is drone video of Harpers Ferry shot yesterday by Fly Guys Aerial Media, just hours before the fire occurred. In the video you will see a few shots of the area that burned. It is directly across from the train station.

John Gonzalez, WJLA-TV/ABC 7:

Jefferson County West Virginia Fire and Rescue officials say the initial fire was reported at 3:15 a.m. near the intersection of High St and Shenandoah St.

At least four buildings have been deemed a total loss, including popular restaurant Private Quinn’s Pub. Fire officials say the fire started at the top of one building and worked its way down, setting adjacent buildings ablaze.
