Two 12-year-olds with a special thank you for firefighters

Two-years-ago firefighters at Aurora, Colorado Fire Station 13 saved the life of the mother of Trennah Nantkes. Now Trennah and her friend Kyra Dooley are saying thanks to those firefighters. They showed up at the firehouse this week with a 65-inch TV, a wall mount and lots of popcorn. It came from money the girls received as birthday presents.

Macradee Aegerter, KDVR-TV:

Best friends Kyra Dooley and Trennah Nantkes said they have what they need.

“Cause they gave us her life,” Trennah said.

“When her mom had her asthma attack, they came and helped her and saved her,” Kyra said.

“She wouldn’t have been here. She was in dire straits that night. It was pretty bad,” said Aurora firefighter John Woodruff, who was there the night of the call.
