Neighbor provides live coverage of Missouri house fire

Below is one-hour and twenty-minutes of video as a neighbor provided live coverage of a house fire this (Sunday) morning in St. Charles, Missouri. The ability for the average person to do this has been available for some time on a number of platforms including U Stream. More recently personal live shots have gotten a boost by Periscope via Twitter.

This is #Ferguson @MissJupiter1957’s video recorded and available for play back on U Stream and also as Heather De on YouTube.

Just another reminder that what people shoot on your fireground is very easily instantly shared and recorded for posterity. Think of all the videos we have seen in the past where someone in public safety grabs or tries to grab the camera from a person taking video. Even if you have that camera it often won’t do you much good. If it isn’t being sent out live many people have their video and image files automatically backed up in the cloud.
