Baltimore Firefighter Struck by Bullet Across from Firehouse
A Baltimore City firefighter suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound Friday afternoon after being struck by a bullet near the fire station, ABC2News.com reported.
A second victim, reported as a 65-year-old man, was also shot, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Interim Police Commissioner Kevin Davis told CBS Baltimore that the suspect was fleeing a cell phone store and gunfire erupted soon thereafter. WBAL reported that the firefighter was not the intended target.
The incident happened near Squad 40/Truck 12’s quarters at West Garrison Blvd and Liberty Heights Avenue.
Earlier Friday, an FDNY firefighter also suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound while arriving at a reported house fire.
