UPDATE – Raw video & radio traffic from 4-alarm high-rise fire in Rochester, NY

A multi-alarm fire this (Sunday) morning at the Buckingham Commons apartment building on Allen Street in Rochester, New York is now under control. It was reported just before 7:00 a.m.

TWCNews.com:

Fire crews arrived to heavy flames coming from the roof of the Buckingham commons. The 7-floor building sits on the corner of North Plymouth Avenue and Allen street. All 36 apartments were evacuated.

Afterwards fire officials did a roll call just to make sure everyone got out safely. Residents on the top floor said there was smoke in the hallways, but none of the alarms went off.

Some of the roof caved into center units causing severe damage. Time Warner Cable News was able to speak with the RFD commanding officer at the scene.
