Losing cool on Facebook results in assistant fire chief losing his job
Today’s SMACSS (Social Media Assisted Career Suicide Syndrome) moment comes from Harper Woods, Michigan. According to news coverage, former Harper Woods Assistant Fire Chief Michael Head is trying to get his job back.
Chief Head was fired after getting into a Facebook pissing contest over the issue of open carry of firearms. The person the chief was battling with is a former Michigan resident named Mickey Ryan Goode. Goode’s screenshot showing the results of Head “losing his cool” (Head’s admission in documents obtained by WDIV-TV) resulted in the assistant chief’s firing.
Head started in by posting this: “Mickey sounds like a real tough guy. LOL Go suck some more dog d*** p**** boy.”

Then Goode responded with some unflattering things as well and uses some unflattering terms to call Head stupid, but then Head fires back by intimating that Goode must be a child rapist and then uses a racial slur for Hispanics.
Goode took screen captures of Head’s posts and sent a complaint letter to Harper Woods about Head’s online behavior.
