Burning ammo at house fire seriously wounds Houston homeowner
News reports say a man was seriously injured early this (Friday) mornng when he was struck in the chest by a bullet from burning ammunition. The man’s home caught fire around 1:30 a.m. on Everglade near Thorn.
Firefighters said most of the smoke and flames were coming from one room where ammunition was stored.
Bullets went off, and one of them struck a male homeowner in the chest. The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but at last check he was still alive.
