Raw video of 3-alarm apartment fire in Harris County, Texas

Light smoke early on in this video from SCOTT ENGLE at what became a three-alarm apartment fire early Sunday in Harris County, Texas. According to Firefighter Joseph Marroni with the Champions Fire Department, the initial response was an engine and a ladder truck that was quickly upgraded as firefighters dealt with fire in void spaces. There was also a water supply issue. A number of pets were rescued, but a cat and a dog died in the fire.

Below are a series of short clips from the fire taken by John Buckman.

KTRK-TV:

Firefighters spent hours battling a three-alarm fire at a northwest Harris County apartment complex early this morning.

The building on Greenwood Forest and FM 1960 had a double roof and the flames were between the upper and lower roofs.

Firefighters say it took longer than usual to put out the fire because they were not able to get on the roof. They thought it might collapse. They also had water supply issues.
