Police body-cam video during evacuation of burning home – officer handles woman worried about her cat

There’s not a lot to see in this video but the soundtrack is quite interesting. It’s from a November 17 fire in a multi-family home on Adams Street in Sandusky, Ohio. Officer Diaz and other officers made sure everyone was out of the structure and, according to news coverage, lead a disoriented man to safety.

The officer also dealt with one of the residents hysterical about her cat still inside the home. As you will read below, it turns out the cat survived quite a few hours in the fire building, but eventually jumped out and ran off.

Investigators say this fire was set and a man has been charged with arson.
