Some firefighters try to drown drones, others rescue them

Earlier this year we told you about firefighters in Orange County, New York who tried to drown a drone flying over the scene of a house fire. It turns out not all firefighters dislike drones. In Salisbury, Maryland firefighters left a Christmas Day meal on the table to rescue a child’s brand new drone stranded in a tree.

Fire crew members left the dinner table for a call to Timiya Hutt’s house off Jersey Road in Salisbury. In a few minutes, they were up a tall ladder untangling the toy drone from branches on a towering tree around the corner from her house. The rescue mission on Christmas Day has Timiya wanting to train in drone operations to become an unmanned aircraft expert.

After Timiya cried in the Christmas Day rain. After her dad, Timothy, then big sister,Demetria, hopelessly shook branches on the towering tree in a neighbor’s yard. After firefighters ate.

Over to Bailey Lane on the west side went a fire crew on a ladder truck to rescue Timiya’s toy drone from one of the tallest branches of the tree.
