In Newark, Ohio this (Wednesday) morning a firefighter standing on a ground ladder was hit by falling pieces of a burning roof. It was witnessed by viewers of the morning news on WCMH-TV as reporter Marcus Thorpe was doing a live shot from the scene of the house fire.
No serious injuries were reported, but there was a scary moment for one firefighter captured on live TV. WCMH was at the scene when part of the roof fell on a firefighter who was standing on a ladder. He was able to walk down to safety with the assistance of a fellow firefighter.
