Command Fire Apparatus to build fire museum in Pennsylvania

We are very proud of and excited about plans by our friend and long-time STATter911.com sponsor Chief Glenn Usdin of Command Fire Apparatus to build a new shop and fire museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Glenn’s project was featured today (Monday) in an article by Dan Nephin at LancasterOnline.com:

Usdin thinks there’s enough other people interested in fire trucks and firefighting that he’s planning to open a firefighting museum in the city.

Among the fire trucks he owns and could display are a 1963 Mack ladder truck he drove for 15 years in New York, the last fire pumper Mack built and a fire truck John Wayne bought for Catalina Island in California.

The museum would be family- and children-focused, he said.
