Raw video from Pranglez Ispacecakez of a house fire yesterday (Friday) around 4:00 p.m. at West First Street and Hickory Street in Freeport, Texas.
“This was one of the most dangerous fires since I’ve been here,” said Freeport Fire Chief Brian Davis, who came to the city in 2010.
“What we have here is a very old structure with significant modifications,” Davis said.
The modifications and abnormal construction made it difficult for the firefighters to douse the flames by traditional means, Davis said, because it created pockets of fire they were unable to reach.
“That house should not have been lived in,” he said.
