Helmet-cam video from West Corners Fire during a house fire yesterday (Sunday) afternoon on Leon Drive in West Corners, New York (Broome County).

West Corners Fire was dispatched to a brush fire, moments later the alarm was upgraded to a working fire! Chief 29B, first on scene called a 2nd Alarm. Engine 1 arrived on scene and quickly stretched a 2 1/2 hose to the rear of the house. After a quick exterior knock down, the first crew then advanced through the front door where conditions rapidly deteriorated. The basement stairs and flooring began to collapse right after crews exited. Thankfully no one was hurt during this fire as the heat put a strain on all firefighters on scene.
