Caught on camera: Fire truck gets wedged under railroad bridge in Massachusetts

Westwood Police Department video.

WCVB-TV:

A ladder truck from the Medway Fire Department had an embarrassing moment caught on camera at the notorious Westwood railroad overpass.

The truck was headed back to Medway after undergoing repairs when it hit the bridge at 3:29 p.m. on Wednesday, the Westwood Police Department said.

In the video, the ladder truck approaches the bridge from the far side and comes to a quick stop as it hits the low overpass and debris falls to the ground.

WHDH-TV:

Residents said this is a recurring problem with vehicles getting stuck under the bridge. Engineers are working on a project to increase the clearance of the bridge but the project could continue through the end of the year before construction starts next summer.
