A car crashed into a Gainesville house Friday afternoon setting off a fire and killing the driver of the car as well as a dog inside the garage.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. at a home on Catharpin Valley Drive in Prince William County.
A fire spokesman said that when crews got to the scene, flames were shooting through the roof.
