Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries this (Friday) morning after a plane crash on a Southern California freeway. Video above from Jose Quinteros shows the crash occurring and more video below shows it moments after it crashed. There are additional videos from other motorists here.
The Cessna 310 aircraft landed on Interstate 405, just short of a runway at John Wayne Airport in Costa Mesa around 9:30 a.m., said Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration. He said the crash happened under “unknown circumstances.”
Orange County Fire Capt. Larry Kurtz said two people were aboard the plane when it crashed and were taken to a local hospital.
