Ashton Funk lost his firefighter job in Margate, New Jersey over a $7.98 shoplifting charge almost two-years-ago. Guess who is in the news again?
It was announced today (Wednesday) that Funk, 35, was among 16-people arrested as part of an Atlantic County drug ring distributing large quantities of oxycodone and Xanax pills. A current Margate firefighter, Theodore Gogol, 37, has also been arrested.
Please note this is a state investigation. It’s not the federal investigation we told you about earlier today that Margate and officials from other Jersey Shore towns are concerned could lead to the indictment of a large number of firefighters.
